IACLEA Accreditation
IACLEA Accreditation
We were awarded accreditation in December 2024 by the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) - placing us among the top 10 percent of university police agencies nationwide. This milestone reflects our commitment to professionalism, accountability, and campus safety.
Accreditation is vital to our department as it establishes a professional benchmark for evaluating our policies and practices in campus public safety. Ultimately, accreditation showcases the quality of our service to the university administration, the community we serve, local law enforcement, and our peers in higher education. Moreover, it ensures that police officers receive consistent, high-quality training and stay up-to-date on the latest legal, operational, and safety standards. This helps them handle situations more effectively, make informed decisions, and respond better to the needs of the community.
Achieving IACLEA accreditation marks the dedication of our entire team – from police officers to professional staff – in maintaining outstanding service to the UCI community.
It underscores our ongoing commitment to making campus safety a cornerstone of student success and institutional excellence. We continue to enhance our services across UC Irvine, UCI Health medical centers in Orange and Irvine, and beyond.
