Protect the patient experience. Support the people who provide it.

Public Safety Supervisors in the UC Irvine Police Department’s Health Division lead the front line of public safety across the UCI Health Network. In this role, you supervise a team of public safety responders who support patients, visitors, faculty, staff, and students in both patient-facing and operational settings—especially in the emergency department and clinical areas where quick judgment and calm leadership matter most.

You set the tone on shift: directing patrol and call response, guiding staff through complex situations, and maintaining a consistent safety presence across the various campuses and locations.

Above all, you’re a leader public safety responders rely on. You coach your team, make sound decisions under pressure, and help create a calm, supportive environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
