The CSO hiring process consists of 5 steps:
- Completing the online application
- Phone interview
- On-site interview
- The Background Investigation & Reference Check
- Live Scan Fingerprinting
All five steps must be successfully completed before a final hiring decision can be made. Applicants may, however, be rejected during any of the phases due to unsatisfactory qualifications. Positions will be offered to the most qualified applicants based on the cumulative results of the interviews, background investigation, and reference checks. The hiring process can take between four to six weeks, but can last longer due to unforeseen delays.
Newly hired CSOs undergo a two week training program, after which they are placed on probationary status pending completion of certain requirements. The length of the probationary status will vary with each employee.
