Notice of Availability – Annual Security and Fire Safety Reports

The UCI Police Department would like to notify students, staff, and faculty that an update to the UCI Campus crime statistics was made and can be found on page 147 along with updates to policies in the 2020 UCI and UCI Health Annual Security Report. No changes were made to the Annual Fire Safety Report.

The Annual Security Report, coordinated by the UCI Police Department, includes information about crime prevention and reporting; emergency response and evacuation; emergency notifications; timely warnings; alcohol, drug and weapon policies; security and safety policy information; sexual violence prevention; and other topics. This report also includes statistics for years 2017, 2018 and 2019 for crimes that occurred at the UCI and UCI Health Medical Center campuses; in certain off-campus buildings or property; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from each campus.

The Annual Fire Safety Report, coordinated by UCI Environmental Health & Safety, includes information on fire safety policies and fire safety systems as well as statistics for years 2017, 2018 and 2019 for fires that occurred in UCI on-campus student housing facilities.

Paper copies of these reports are available upon request by calling the UCI Police Department at (949) 824-1885 or at 100 Public Services Building at UCI. This notice of availability is distributed annually in accordance with the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (“Clery Act”).
