Dear UCI Community,

Please join the UCI Police Department (UCIPD) for an in-person community meeting about Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) technology.

Modern law enforcement relies on technology to increase its investigative capabilities. Law enforcement has used ALPR cameras as a powerful tool for decades to combat crime, provide investigators with actionable investigative leads, and help identify suspects and vehicles engaged in or used for criminal activity.

UCIPD is presenting this opportunity to engage with the community, share information on ALPR technology, and receive input on future ALPR deployments at UCI.

Automated License Plate Reader Community Meeting
Date: Thursday, April 11, 2024
Time: 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Location: EH&S Building - Bernardino Room (4600 Health Sciences Road, Irvine, CA 92617)

Please email police@uci.edu with any questions.

Stay safe,

Liz Griffin
Chief of Police
